Christmas Susan Star Crochet Pattern
Hooked for the Holidays Day 11
Day 11 of Hooked for the Holidays is another collaboration. This time, I’ve partnered with the ever talented Heather of @belly_crochet_! Heather graciously let me modify her Susan Star pattern, so Susan is ready for the holidays. She has tangled herself up in festive Christmas lights, and found a Santa hat. She works up quickly and will be a HIT at your holiday markets!

Let’s Begin!
To start, make the Susan Star free pattern by @belly_crochet_
You can find it on her IG HERE.
Now it’s time to add the Christmas lights!
For this part, we are going to surface crochet with single crochet around the body in green yarn. I recommend you use sewing pins to map out your path for your lights.
Once you’ve got a good idea of how the single crochet will wrap around the body, attach green yarn with a sl st and single crochet until you reach the end.
Okay, now that you have the string for the lights, it’s time to sew on the actual lights. This part is simple! Take any color yarn, and sew 1 stitch wide next to the green string. Leave these stitches loose so they don’t get lost!
I put my yarn through the sc on the green string so it looked like the lights were coming out, but this is optional! Use as many colors as you’d like.
Now let’s make the Santa Hat!
