Mini Low Sew Cow Crochet Pattern
This mini cow pattern is perfect for your upcoming markets! It can be made in less than an hour, and involves almost no sewing. The pattern here is for the upright cow. You can find a PDF version of this pattern with both the upright cow and the long cow in my shop!

Materials
Crochet hook (I used Clover 5mm)
Yarn in White, Brown, and Pink
I used Parfait Chunky from Premier
Stitch marker
Stuffing (I used Poly-Fil)
Scissors
Safety Eyes (I used 12mm) or felt for eyes
Abbreviations
This pattern is written in US Terms and worked in continuous rounds.
MR - magic ring
sc - single crochet
inc - increase
dec - invisible decrease
cc - color change
sl st - slip stitch
BBL - bobble (5 loops on hook)
FO - fasten off
ch - chain
Let’s Begin!
Ears (x2)
Make ears first as they are crocheted into the head later! Make 1 in white and 1 in brown.
R1: 5sc in MR (5)
R2: (sc, inc) x 2, sc (7)
Pinch next two stitches together and sl st to create a fold in the ear.
FO; no need for tail for sewing. Weave in ends.
Body
Start in white. Where the text is italicized with “cc”, change to brown.
R1: 6sc in MR (6)
R2: inc around (12)
R3: (1sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (2sc, inc) x 6 (24)
R5: 6sc, BBL, 6sc, BBL, 10sc (24)
R6: 6sc, cc 3sc, 15sc (24)
R7: 5sc, cc 5sc, 10sc, cc 3sc, 1sc (24)
R8: 6sc, cc 3sc, 10sc, cc 5sc (24)
R9: 20sc, cc 3sc, 1sc (24)
R10: 14sc, cc 3sc, 7sc (24)
R11: 8sc, BBL, 4sc, cc 2sc, BBL, 2sc, 6sc (24)
Note: you may need to adjust the BBL in R11 by 1-2 stitches to align with the BBL in R5 due to differences in tension.

R13: (2sc, dec) x 6 (18)
R14: (1sc, dec) x 6 (12)
Stuff the body.
Head (continued from body)
R15: inc around (24)
R16: (2sc, inc) x 8 (32)
R17 - R18: sc around (32) (2 rounds)
R19: 8sc, cc 3sc, 17sc, cc 4sc (32)
R20: 2sc, dec, 2sc, cc dec, 2sc, dec, 1sc, dec, (2sc, dec) x 3, cc (2sc, dec), 1sc (24)
R21: (1sc, dec) x 2, cc (1sc, dec) x 2, (1sc, dec) x 4 (16)
R22: 5sc, attach ear with 1sc, 8sc, attach ear with 1sc, 1sc (16)
Insert safety eyes between R20-21, approximately 5 stitches apart.
Stuff head.
R23: dec around (8)
FO and leave tail to close the remaining hole.
Nose
Make in pink.
R1: ch4
R2: starting in 2nd loop from hook: 2sc, 3sc in next stitch, 3sc (8)
R3: sl st into first stitch of round (1)
FO and leave tail for sewing. Stuff if needed while sewing to the head.
Sew between and below eyes.
Horns (x2)
Attach brown yarn around R23 next to ear with a sl st.
R1: ch4
R2: starting in 2nd loop from hook: 3sc (3)
R3: sc back into the body (1)
FO and hide ends
Repeat on other side.
